Week 9
Commissioner's Corner
I've got some bad news to share with everyone....
There will not be a league note next week. And since I won't have much internet access, I may be late to paying the weekly high scorer. So, get your fill in now or re-read past league notes and I'll see you back here around 11/14!
Week 8 Recap
To help me cope with losing three straight games I'm going to showcase some funny happenings this past week so no one else will notice my terrible team:
1. Here is a highlight of my #1 waiver priority pickup if he wasn't still in college. Outside of my QB, I only had 1 TD on my roster last week, and adding this player would have doubled my production!
2.. We're all 30 now, right? Anyone else wake up some days feeling like you've still got it but deep down kind of afraid you might embarrass yourself? Then look no further than the College GameDay student who was originally going to attempt Pat McAfee's field goal challenge.
Lastly, I want to bring up Tido, the NFL, and Hallmark on collusion charges. For everyone else who was unaware, there was some made up holiday last week called National Tight End Day. And before you say, "what, another holiday for white people? Isn't that every day?" Let me say WRONG. Because apparently, Tido, and all of the tight ends in the league got the memo and had a record-setting day. So why is Tido implicated in all of this? Well, he was the only manager to start 2 tight ends in his lineup. No other team has attempted this all season.
Week 9 Preview
Who's got the best fantasy team this year? We may just find out this weekend in Sharukh's and Nathan's matchup. Sharukh is first in the standings and in our classic power rankings system while Nathan is second in those but first in the new power rankings metric. If we took each team's scores from every week and compared them, Nathan would have won 5-3 times. However, if we look at the actual matchups between these two for our league's history, Sharukh holds a 5-2 lead over Nathan.
Staying on the 1 vs 2 topic, the top two teams in our all-time leader board face off this week. If my calculations are correct, and they usually are not, Tido can take back the top spot with a win over Jason. If Tido keeps his cheating up I don't see any of us standing a chance against him.
