Week 15 - Round 1
Week 14 Recap
On behalf of Bret, I’d like to extend a warm welcome to the other five teams joining the 2024 Dungeons & Dildos Fantasy Football Playoffs! Let’s take a moment to appreciate how razor-thin the margins are in fantasy football—Bret’s playoff hopes came down to a single lineup decision. If he had started Darnell Mooney over Tee Higgins, he’d be celebrating his playoff berth, and I’d be left sad and mopey on the sidelines. Instead, here I am, reveling in my spot while Bret watches from afar.
With help from AI, here is a cursed image recreating how I image Bret looked after realizing he lost.
In other playoff news, Nathan secured the top seed after defeating Adam in their rematch. Despite Sharukh’s impressive high-scoring performance making things interesting, Adam managed to hold onto his coveted first-round bye.
Current Draft Position choice order:
1. Andy
2. David
3. Tido
4. Bret
5 - 10: TBD by playoff results
Playoff Preview (& Stats)
As promised, here are some intriguing playoff-related stats to kick off the postseason excitement:
- This marks Tido’s second time missing the playoffs in the past three years.
- Jason has tied the league record for most playoff appearances since 2015, a testament to his consistent success.
- Speaking of streaks, Jason, Sharukh, and Nathan all continue their runs of consecutive playoff appearances. Nathan leads the pack with a current streak of three years.
- Bret’s Week 14 loss ended his playoff streak, which had stretched back to 2020. David’s three-year playoff streak also came to an end this season.
- CJ has now qualified for the playoffs in three of the past four years, after only making it twice between 2015 and 2020.
- Andy remains the only team to miss the playoffs in both 2023 and 2024. Every other team has reached the postseason at least once in the past two years.
- Adam’s playoff berth is his first since 2019, breaking a four-year drought. Welcome back, Adam!
Stats n' Stuff
I don't want to jinx it but Andy is just 8 more losses away from joining David and having a lower winning % than Mukund.
