2025 - Week 16 (Playoffs - Round 2)

๐ŸˆWeek 15 Recap

The prophecy from u/dannyaingoat lives on, except this time I’m the one regressing to the mean. I started the season 6‑0, high on life, convinced I had solved fantasy football. But the omnipresent data had other plans. I had the easiest schedule, the lowest points allowed, mediocre weekly outputs, and multiple weeks where my entire roster collectively shat itself. After that hot start, I went 2‑7 and closed the season on a five‑game losing streak. Brutal.

The worst part? The what‑ifs. Thanks to my elite roster mismanagement, I left 68 net points on the table, 30 if I started Trevor Lawrence over Lamar, and another 34 if I started Kyle Pitts over Brock Bowers. Truly a masterclass, or should I say spoon session?

Pity party over, congrats to Jason for punching his ticket to the semifinals.

Keep an eye on Bret, who might be my polar opposite this season. He struggled to find wins, barely snuck into the playoffs, and still finished with one of the highest point totals in the league while navigating the second‑toughest schedule. His 170‑point demolition of Nathan is the highest score we’ve seen since Week 9 of last year.

Meanwhile, David lost to Adam and simultaneously lost all credibility in his crusade to change the Sacko tiebreaker from fewest points for to head‑to‑head. The ball don’t lie: David was the worst roster manager in the league with a 39‑87 aggregate record, compared to Adam’s 40‑86. David could have avoided the Sacko by capturing just 13 points out of his 271 total bench points this season. Thirteen. Out of two hundred seventy‑one. Incredible.

๐Ÿ”ฎWeek 16 Preview

Tido and Sharukh return from their one‑week bye. Will Tido’s Dicker, the kicker, that is, launch him into the finals? Or will Jason's McCaffrey return to form and combine for eight touchdowns on Monday night and send Tido to Cancun with the rest of us?

In the second semifinal, we get a matchup between two of the hottest teams in the league, and yes, I mean both in looks and recent scoring. Bret and Sharukh are each averaging around 140 points over the last three weeks. This week’s projection has them separated by a single point. It’s going to come down to which version of Josh Allen shows up against that stout Cleveland defense.
Will it be 3 rushing TDs + 3 passing TDs, or 3 fumbles + 3 interceptions?
There is no in‑between with Josh
